Mozilla, Firefox, and Thunderbird Extensions and Themes
I just found this cool site,
Mozilla Update. It has all kinds of extensions and themes for Mozilla, Firefox, and Thunderbird.
I also saw
Texturizer.net shown on The Screen Savers on G4techTV. It has hundreds of of extensions for Firefox.
Celestia
Here is another program recommendation. It is
Celestia, an open source astronomy program. Really cool. Check it out.
Second Life Updated
Second Life has updated their client to 1.4. Browse
here to see the new features.
Mozilla Firefox and Thunderbird Updated
Mozilla has updated their stand-alone browser and email program,
Firefox and
Thunderbird, respectively. They are both relatively small downloads and seem faster than the complete Mozilla download.
My MMOG pick
This is one of the few games (or maybe online environments) that I have continued to play (experience?) for close to a year. It is
Second Life. There are so many things to do in the game. Residents hold daily events that are fun. Residents are also given most of the same tools that the developers use to create the world. This means you can build objects and script them to do just about anything. There is a 7 day trial available as well as a basic, one-time payment subscription available, in addition to premium accounts that allow you to own parcels of virtual land. Give it a try.
If you do decide to sign up, add me (Zak Escher) as a reference. I could use the L$. :-)
Wanna dress like a Barbie? (NO!)
Wanna dress like a Barbie? (From CNN.com)
So will the women who wear these clothes have to have top heavy and disproportion bodies?
RSS Feeds
I have recently begun to use RSS feeds extensively. I never realized how many sites offer them. They seem, to me, to be a great way of keeping up with updates to web sites, without surfing to each individual site. Anyway, the program I use to manage the feeds I am interested in is
RSS Reader. It is a useful and simple to use program written using the .NET Framework. Give it a try and let me know what you think.
BTW, if you would like a feed of my blog, here is the URL:

FIRST POST!!!
Ok maybe it is sort of lame to call first post on my own blog. :-)
This is the first blog I have set up. I don't know what I will post here just yet. We'll have to see what happens.
This is the personal blog of Jason Jones. I live in Greenville, North Carolina and work at East Carolina University.
